The 240 Exhaust. Dont be the man/ woman that cut's of the muffler off the 240 and think it's cool. Well. Truth is this isn't doing them anything for performance it just creates an annoyance for so don't be like them step up and buy a Tanabe exhaust for your Nissan 240SX. Not only will this give you a great sounding 240 but it will get you some style points as well. The whole idea in an exhaust is to reduce back pressure on the motor and to let your motor breathe out, but for allot of engines just cutting the muffler off can reduce it too much. Even though the Tanabe exhaust will reduce the back pressure on you 240's it is designed to reduce it a certain amount for optimal performance and to make it have a tone. They make different size piping applications for different setups. If you have a 240 with a stock naturally aspirated KA24E or KA24DE and you are planning on keeping it NA then you wouldn't want a 3 inch Tanabe exhaust. On the other hand if your 240 is already SR20DET swapped or you have plans on building a KA-T (turbo) then a 3 inch Tanabe exhaust would be great for this application.
